Customer Service Representative 1
Seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our team in Machias, Maine. The position is located in a fast-paced, incoming contact center that services a branch of the United States Department of Defense (DOD) with their human resource (HR) needs. We are looking for a candidate with office, administrative, and database experience. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented team player who will be one of the points of contact at the facility, greeting others in a polite, and well-spoken manner. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, experience with database operations, attention-to-detail, customer focused, detail-oriented and possesses excellent typing skills, The ability to be empathetic, yet confident and able to work independently, as well as within a team, and with management.
Responsibilities

Answer inquiries via telephone and respond to customer requests using excellent customer service etiquette.

Log all inquiries, update information in the tracking system, and in accordance with call center procedures.
- •
Identify, research, and resolve customer inquiries using the computer system and call center resources.
- •
Escalate inquiry tickets with details of research and troubleshooting steps taken.
- •
Possess an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- •
Basic computer knowledge/technological skills - adept in using search tools, browsers, e-mail features, file attachments, file transfers, etc.
- •
Excellent verbal, oral, and written communications skills.
- •
The ability to type fast, accurately, and create grammatically correct responses without any spelling or grammatical errors.
- •
Ability to comprehend, capture, and interpret basic customer information.
